From Our ERHow time flies! 2012 is already one month old and our current lodge year is nearing a close. Our lodge rang in the New Year in fine fashion with a steak and lobster dinner. Over 110 dinners were served, music was provided by DJ Shane and all had a good time. A great big thanks to Earle Sanford's son-in-law Bob for cooking the lobster, Terry Throckmorten for cooking steak, Dave Boyd for cooking shrimp, BJ Alford and Karen Higgs for keeping them all straight. January 13th marked our 16th anniversary, we celebrated with a prime rib dinner on Saturday January 15th and had another awesome turnout. A big thanks to the PERs and Steve Bricker for cooking. Also thanks to the PERs for providing the iPad for the drawing. I want to thank the Trustees for getting the parking lot striped, it looks very nice and we've had a lot of compliments about it. February promises to be another very busy month. Keep up the good work, and I'll see you all at a meeting.. Elks Care, Elks Share

Four ChairsJanuary has really flown by and February will be a busy month. We have a special wedding on Feb. 4th. On that day our ER, John Rinehart will marry Ms. Valerie Aldridge. They make a GREAT couple and I know that we all wish them the best. Our Gun Show will be held Feb. 10th, 11th, & 12th. Come out and give a hand. I’m sure that you will enjoy the experience. See the sign-up sheet in the club room. The district Chili Cook-Off will be on the 18th. If you would like to enter the event, contact Russ Love for information. Elections will soon be upon us. If you are interested in running for a chair or elected office, speak to the PER’s. If your interest lie in working on a commit-tee, please let one of the officers know. Have you found it yet? There is something out there for you to get involved in. An activity or project that is special to you and Elkdom. The rewards are great but you will only experience them by getting involved.
